This is this Lancashire-born artist’s first solo show in London and it is well deserved.  His vignettes of city life with their underlying stories are rendered in way that engages the viewer and leaves it to them to complete the tale.  His smaller works are painted in situ with an expected immediacy and some are later worked into larger paintings in his studio.
