A rare opportunity – Danish Royal Furniture comes to Auction in London
Christie’s King Street auction on September 18th includes a small group of furniture from the Danish Royal Court. They date from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, a time when one Danish princess (Alexandra) was the wife of the future Edward VII and another princess (Dagmar) was the consort of Tsar Alexander III.
The pieces were deaccessioned from the Royal collection and sold through a small Danish auction house and there new owner now wishes to dispose of them.
