There is little doubt that John Brown has an eye for capturing brief, real-life scenes in his paintings whether they take place overseas or in his native Scotland.  Having caught these scenes in his sketchbook, he translates them into paintings in his studio using both paint and mixed media.  He gradually adds layers to the picture until the colourful, light-infused final image is achieved.

He says of their work “The World Land Trust do a wonderful job, working alongside local people to help restore bio-diverse environments in which endangered species can flourish, and reversing some of the damage that we inflict on the planet. That is why I feel very privileged to be an Ambassador for the Trust, and to be able to express my support for their work through my painting”.
